.multibeat is a hip hop trio from The Netherlands. Boudewijn Pleij (keys), Thijs van Zutphen (bass) and Aron Smit (drums) found eachother in their shared love for hip hop and jazz. Influences from J Dilla, D’Angelo, Robert Glasper and the likes are beautifully combined to create the .multibeat sound. The three young musicians from Utrecht are recording and performing artists for multiple Dutch hip hop and R&B artists, like YVES, GINGE and Manu van Kersbergen, and often show to have excellent flexible skills on their instruments. The way they incorporate the use of production on stage makes this group extremely versatile. Currently they are working on their own original songs, as well as writing and producing with other artists. .multibeat is a band for fans of Free Nationals, Robert Glasper, Yussef Dayes and so on.
